Everyday its the same story, either this or that tantrum, activity, attitude, blah blah (the list is endless) will trigger my anger button ON, and kaboom, there I am all yelling and scolding the little one. And what happens after that, its something which most parents can relate to, yes right the pathetic guilt feeling. When the senses are back to normal after the anger session, the very first question which pops in my head is, what did she do wrong, she is just a kid who wants to do something which is neither harming anyone nor difficult to execute. So why was there so much anger and what impact it would have caused on the little innocent mind of hers. At times I doubt if I am seriously a mommy material? I think this is high time for introspection to deal with this ANGER issue as its not healthy to anyone specially the little one.

What impact does this anger causes on the mind of little kids , well as per my experience with my little one, she becomes sad that mamma is scolding and not allowing to do what she want, here not to forget her demand is fully logical and not out of the universe to fulfil. Her small demands are like she want to paint while its sleeping time, she want to do craft while its her study time and so on. Now the question arises why did I suppress her logical demand, my stubbornness is all I can think about as the culprit. As a mother what I am trying to do is impose my rules, my timelines, my choices and my routine on her, and when I see those not getting followed I just loose my temper. After a heated session, when I sit down to analyse why couldn't I accommodate her so simple demands, I found myself to be guilty.  I missed out to apprehend that the child is also an individual with its own set of thoughts and choices. This is the stage where they are learning lifeskills, and surrender is ofcourse not a very good skill to practice.

No routine should be strong enough to suppress kids. As a parent I need to be flexible with my child. And since we both ( mom and the kid) are stubborn at our own fronts so my kid also knows how to get the demand done, the way is just go to grandparents and all well, phew can't hold her back then.
The other reasons of Anger issues arise when the demands are totally illogical. Yes illogical demands are also there which are just out of mind at times like want to go to shopping mall just now, want to go to buy toys just now or struck upon a particular toy, want that set of crayons even though previous ones are lying untouched at home. See these kinds of demand make parenting real mess. Giving in to those will result in getting her use to throw such tantrums on a regular basis, and if not giving in, then no other distraction is working well. Sometimes I have to give up (family pressure) , since I am a strict mother at these instances but can't help out when others too interfere. So my way to get through that situation is ok let me do what she says, and once she is calm we talk out the whole scenario ( my girl is 5 years old now and have good conversations), where I try to make the kid realise that its not good to throw tantrums as mamma-papa already fulfil her demands every now and then. Honestly, I am no saint so I do have my share of anger and yelling in this tantrum situation, but then the wise me awakes and asks me to just hold the child and love her, just calm her by any means. Finally when things are manageable , we sort out the tantrum, in the hope that it will not be repeated again in near future. Luckily my girl understands me and obeys till she want :)

In both the above mentioned situations, I never wanted to show my anger to the poor kid, but emotions are hard to deal with. The other suggested way includes just walk away from the situation, or keep mum for sometime ignoring the things which are raising the anger bar. For me it doesn't work, I want my kid to understand that what she is demanding is not fitting in the routine and should not be done. I do talk to my kid while keeping my anger in check. And finally when I am about to burst I go mum and walk away. In this way my kid is aware that something is not right to be done. Now the situation is passe, so whats our makeup part, its simple recipe, both mamma and baby go to park, play around and things are refreshed.
Well every child is unique and so every parent have their own tried and tested ways to deal with their anger issues and is commendable.

Some of the situations which trigger my anger also includes scarcity of my ME time, yes its very important for me to have my peace of mind while juggling between parenting, home management, teaching and so on, the list is endless. So how do I get my ME time without harming my kid's emotions and psyche are, engage the kid in something she loves to do, once she get engaged I get time for myself. Though there will be something or the other kid needs me to do for her, but is still manageable as compared to a total NO ME Time.

In all the scenarios mentioned above, either one of us who is in a better temperament ( me or my husband) become in-charge of the kid to rescue her from being the victim of anger at the moment, in the meantime anger subsides and the heart is filled with a genuine apology to the kid. Joint families are really a boon in these tricky situations when we can really take a deep breath and let it go, while our child is in safe hands.

These are some of my experiences with Anger triggers and managing the same, believe me I am trying to improve it everyday. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail. We are humans and bound to err. As I always say we( me, my husband, and my daughter) are growing together, she as an individual and we as parents. Who said Parenting is easy, its a lifelong process of learning. Happy parenting to all the wonderful families out there reading my blogspace 'Zindagi Everyday'.
Do comment your ways to deal with the anger, would love to try them out.

When loads of work is piled upon, be it office, or home. What you do to get it done without getting stressed? Well for me music works in every situation. While I have loads of laundry piled upon to be in dire need of getting folded, the iron staring right on me for not using it recently, the students workbooks lying around to be checked ( perks of Teaching Life) , kitchen calling me to peep inside, amongst all this work one thing is common, my love for music. Whenever I need to get the work done, I just put on my earphones , ply my favourite songs and start doing the chores. ( I use to do same in my corporate days too). And voila within few minutes, or in some cases hours, the work is neatly done.
pic credit : google images
This habit of mine is carefully noticed by my little one. So whenever she see me finishing some work without music on, the first thing she will do is bring my JBL bluetooth speaker and ply the music for me, ofcourse the song will be of her choice only , mentioning "Mumma aapko song sunke kaam karna accha lagta hai na, kaam bhi finish ho jata hai ( its easy to get the work done with music , you like to play songs while working)" . This is one of the millions of perks of having a daughter. Proud and obliged to be a mother to her. Her innocence and intelligence leaves me spell bound. Touchwood.

Well let me mention my favourite better to say our, our saviour from boredom, our party life "JBL GO Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (Orange)"  incase you may feel interested. This has been a loyal partner in every party(one room space) I hosted for my students, yeah students also deserve some fun along with studies. Awesome sound, bass, compactness, connectivity and long  battery backup it has all. Even calls can be attended with it without any hustle.
A must for me since my phone speakers sounds so meek infront of this sturdy speaker. No ear pain after plugging in the earphones, just play it and you are all set to go. I am so so loving it.

Proceeding forward from my previous post, there is so much to catchup with, starting with the 'Matki Decoration', 'stage performance', and finally the 'Diya Decoration' in kid's school. The diwali celebration she had missed due to my unavilability.

Coming back to the Matki Decoration competition for moms before janmashatami celebration, I wonder how creative ladies are.I swear I couldn't even think about the dedication and interest the moms have for the competition. For me it was just like a fun activity but for others it was an opportunity to showcase  their talent. Some matkis were hand painted, some were decorated using readymade decorative stuff, some made complete 'jhanki' (procession of janmashatami). The outcomes of all the hard-work done were really awesome. Couldn't believe that those raw matkis can be converted into so beautiful ones. Posting my matki pic, and other beautiful matkis made during the competition. Hope it will give other moms around some ideas on matki decoration in future use, as I did googled for different ideas and pre preparations wink, wink :D

Thats my matki :P

Other matkis at competition

Didn't realise that this pic has gone blurred, but the theme was matki with govardhan and krishna

The winners were to be declared later, so dont know who got first from almost 150 entries. But salute to the creativity. The experience and aura was awesome. It feels great and inspires to put more effort seeing all hard working ladies. By the way we too got second place for rakhi making competition for kid, sadly I forgot to click the pic as we made it in night. These days the real competition is shifted to moms vs moms rather than in between kids. Schools make the moms too slog along with the teachers.
No one rests till kids grow.

Now coming to the Diya decoration, we had to make it at home and submit with child name on it. So I too tried my hand over this totally new thing of my life. Yeah I have never ever made such things, only known things were making rangoli, mehendi, and alta. Anyways here comes my entry for the competition. Kindly bear with it, bad photogarphy with not much of a wow factor, but its a mumma's journal so have to be here :D :D

Moving ahead, for Dussehra, the kids needed to be dressed as Ramayan characters. My girl chose to be 'Sita Mata' by herself. Thankfully the dress was ready-made along with the accessories and available in the market. Presenting my Sita maiya here :)

Couldn't stop staring her, she was so happy and chirpy wearing this dress. Gave a hard time to remove it, as she wanted to wear it while sleeping too. Kids Kids :) :)

These few comeptitions are over.PHEW. Now looking forward to prepare for the solo performance in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for the new avtaar click ;)

Struggling motherhood, the title of this post may seem a little awkward and inapt for the supermoms out there, but at present I am so so in this 'struggling' phase of mommyhood . Reason??
N number of reasons I am dealing everyday with my growing girl. I myself wonder when was the last time I tried to connect with her in  a lovey dovey way as I use to before she started her formal schooling this year. Wait wait this doesn't mean I am blaming the school for my struggles. Not at all, I am quite happy with the school and the medium pace its applying to teach children, as I have seen other school students who are loaded with writing homeworks, rhymes, and assessments....yeah assessments for the nursery( some kids are not even complete 4 years of age) kids, not to forget these schools are the  CBSE and ISCE board schools while my kid has the IB curriculum. The other school kids have started writing the alphabets in the 4 lines notebook( we use to say 4 lines notebook in our school days, dont know what is it called in modern terminology) while my kid is still writing with crayons in the square boxes with the help of provided dotted lines and dots. Only difference is instead of using thick crayons, she has to use some sleek crayons which are just like pencils in gripping and writing as they do have a pointed end. And slowly slowly she is managing to make out the alphabets though they are not perfect but the good part is she makes them herself without allowing anyone to hold her hand and help her. So whatever she is writing its good as its done thoroughly by her. Only we need to sit and make her to write which is the last task in her small world to pursue. See this count to my struggle number 1- making kid to do homework.
Seriously sometimes it takes whole weekend to convince her for completing her work, and the only time she will start doing it will be sunday evening. Imagine 4 pages of alphabets in a single evening, what a task I need to achieve every weekend. More the time tickles on the clock on sunday evening, more I am anxious, anxious not because I want the homework done, instead the reason being the amount of scolding, shouting, pleading, requesting, appreciating, bribing which all goes into making her do the work. And finally when nothing works soem of the spanking also comes in action which afterwards make me to feel guilty and pledging not to do again. Don't even get confused that my kid is such a poor child facing so much, she is one of the smartest kid having all the answers to your conversations handy. To get her wish done she first tries with me, then with the whole family including the grandparents. Actually grandparents are her trump card to get her wish done against my disapproval. They too are bound to hear her, actually we all struggle to get things done when she uses one or the other family member....she knows she has a choice.

Struggle number 2- making kid listen
Yes this is yet again everyday scenario I struggle with everyday.
Scenario1 -
Kid -Mumma Please glucose de dijiye ( Give me Glucon D, yeah she loves eating it rather than drinking in water).
Mumma- No beta, its unhealthy to eat like this. I will not give.
Kid - Mumma , please thoda sa de do
Mumma- Ok thoda sa only, aur nahi milega
Kid - happily, Ok mumma, thankyou mumma. And finishes it fastly along with watching POGO channel on TV. After finishing new story unfolds. 'Mumma , thoda sa aur, please, please, uske baad nahi mangungi'
Mumma- No, maine bola tha na aur nahi, bas thoda sa
Kid - please mumma thoda sa
Mumma- Ok, bas itna sa aur, ab nahi mangna
Kid- Thankyou mumma, love you mumma. And happily finishes the second installment too.again 'mumma thoda sa aur'
Mumma- No , bola na ..ab nahi, bahut ho gaya. Pet mein dard ho jayega
Kid- Main dadu k pas ja rahi hun.

And after sometime I see her coming with her dadu (grandfather), surprisingly my father-in-law is puzzled why I am not listening her. And when the whole story unfolds everyone is bowled with her strategic approach, utilising all available resources to get her wish done. Phew, that's almost everyday story in almost every activity of hers.

scenario 2-
Mumma- Wash your hands
Kid- 'No, mujhe  nahi karna' , and then unnecessary crying

scenario 3-
Kid- Mumma , gems chahiye
Mumma- No beta, teeth kharab ho jayenge. Dentist uncle ke pass jana padega, wo injections lagayenege
Kid - Main dadu k pass ja rahi hun
And the poor mumma wonders of this evergreen dhamki by kid.

scenario 4-Handling unnecessary crying everytime, be it getting her favourite toy, favourite food, favourite book, colors, be it anything. Just deny her teh thing and there goes a full fledge crying session.
Now a days new line has gotten added to this drama.' Sab chhale jao, main akele rahunga. Mumma Papa jao ghar se, chale jao.' :( :(
Seriously I am disturbed to the core, frustrated, irritated with this new addon. Every time giving in to her demands is making her stubborn and strategic.

Struggle number 3 - Get kid ready for school
This is again everyday struggle of poor mommy 'me' . Everyday she has different choices of family members to get ready for school. One day she want to get ready from her father, right from getting up, to taking bath, to breakfast,to dressing up, to comb her hairs, to pack her school bag and dropping to bus stop. On another day, she wont allow her father to even touch her, and will ask mumma to do all tasks. Then again some other day she will stop both of us and only her dadu or jiya ( grandparents) whomever she choose for the day have the privilege to get her ready for the day.
Phew, she has got really spoilt over the choices she have in the house.

Struggle number 4-  To make kid sleep on time
Thats a never ending struggle I am dealing with right from the beginning of motherhood. My last post 'Noisy Nap time' is already dedicated to this struggle. The new addon is the choice part again. Dont want to sleep she will rush to her grandparents. Me helpless can't do anything, if I shout, scold, or talk, at that point of time nothing works to make her listen me. All she will do is run away from me to avoid the nap time.

Struggle number 5- To control the TV and screen time
Whenever kid is in TV room, she needs the TV to be ON and that too with the POGO channel. No one can watch anything on TV unless she is not at home. Same applies with mobiles and laptops. She has got so use to the videos on you tube that either TV or videos are the only choices left with us.

The list is just endless if everything is included. But its really struggling time for me, and for whole family. At times when she asks me to go away I really question myself if my kid is really grownup to be at her own. But regaining my sanity, I am an adult and not to get messed up with kid. This struggling mummy is trapped in her motherly feelings and wondering how to discipline my child, make her understand the things rightly, to love her and control my emotions( anger, hurt, lost, etc etc).
I want to again treat her like my kid rather than an individual, but this time is her growing years where she is approaching to be an independent personality. I have to help her grow, but firstly I need to maintain my cool and temper, being short tempered and aggressive is not going to help.
PS: At night, the conversation begins again
"Mumma , main good girl banungi kal se, mujhe chod k mat jana aap"
And everything just melts.

I wonder if it's just my kid or all the kids are similar in their picky nap timings. Be it day, be it night, it's always a tough task to put kiddo to sleep. The most difficult nap time is in the afternoon, when she doesn't want to sleep and I keep on trying, trying, and trying until I succeed. Sometimes I have to feed her ice-cream before she agree to sleep, kind of bribing 😁 while at other times I allow her to watch videos on YouTube in my mobile phone. Most of the time the YouTube trick works well, as the ice-cream one is an unhealthy bribing.
But at times, both of these tactics fail, and kiddo just roam around in the house while I am having drooping eyes. Always in search of avoiding nap time , she has amazing excuses which irritate the sleep maniac in me. Some of her escape ideas are-
1) She feels hungry or thirsty when my eyelids are as heavy as an elephant to open.
2) No fail trick which always works in evading her from my grip is 'potty call'. What to do, get up like a zombie and wait for the nature's call, which at times is fake and used as an escape door to run to grandparents and play.
3) When not in mood to sleep ,she will ask to bring all her toys to bed, if refused then the screaming drama begins.
4) And the most favorite one, wants to do homework when I am drop dead and pleading for some sleep to regain my sanity.
That's the day nap time story. Another tryst with escaping sleep is at night. After entering to her bed, all she wants is to play with every available member of the family. If refused, she will run out of room to her wish. What to do, just wait for her to comeback. Finally on her return, the chatterbox keep on talking and talking. I don't know how many times I have to sing the rhyme 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star ' and after every finish, she will put up her own story
To be noted, she really pulls up her imaginary stories along with her cartoon friends Chota Bheem, Tom & Jerry, Mighty Raju, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and many others. After every story I have to ask her 'Shut your mouth, close your eyes and go to sleep, goodnight '. Just like darling she will follow my instructions, but within few seconds the chattering again starts. It doesn't matter if I am responding or not, the stories will go on, and in between my countless instructions to sleep. Finally after much blabbering alone she falls asleep. And that's the moment I feel like task accomplished successfully 😊
To see my kid sleeping, can't resist to kiss her forehead and watch the calm and relaxed face for few moments.

Love you baccha, muahh

Vacation time can sometimes be boring too for kids. To engage kid for whole day is real difficult task. My little one is bored of her writing book, rhymes, Pogo ( on TV), videos on YouTube, and finally she has started saying "Mumma, Main bore Ho raha hun " . Now what to do, gave a thought and bought poster colors for her, which she likes to mess up with. This is her first painting at my mom's place, don't know how long I would successfully keep her engaged

After lot of color wasteage that's the masterpiece of my kiddo 😊
This time is something like we, me and my kid both want to get most of our moms, and why not its our time without any interruptions.

We all have that one pair of shoes which are our first love to wear irrespective of the occasion. The love we have for it's color, design, pattern, texture, comfort, and ease makes it an all time no 1 in the priority list. Now when we all have that one pair, then how can my little pretty princess would lag behind. So finally she has also found her current favorite shoes aka her Cinderella shoes - The bold and beautiful Reds

The pretty red ones, now my little one's all time favorite be it with jeans, frocks, jumpers, leggings, tees, shorts ,be it anything she is gonna put her feet in those red beauties only. Hmm like mother like daughter . Don't know how long the other pairs need to wait for their turn in this race of becoming my princess's Cinderella shoes

Earlier I was worried about kid's health, her growth rate, activities, and blah blah blah....in Short I was worried about anything related to kid. To add up one more feather to my cap of worries, now I have to worry about her homework too, not to mention its incrementing graph. I swear, to make kid do the school work is such a messy lot where one can easily lost his/her sanity.
Every time I pick kid's workbook, the nature's call make its way on damn time. Then start a long story of pee/poo , drinking water, feeling sleepy, yawning, tired and god knows how many new are on their way.
When chatted lovingly, just one alphabet done, a bit scolded few more done, then hand gets tired.
After soothing the tired hand, again few scribbles make their way on the workbook. Now what next, guess what ....."mumma mujhe ninni aa  rahi Hai, dekho yawn aa gayi " .....now what, finally I have to take the charge in my hands, get a bit strict and make her do the task. But again few scribbles, now what to do.......at the end my last weapon........." Either do your homework or I am going to nani  house " , now this tantrum of mine help me get the homework done. Phew !! Kids kids kids !!
Hopefully my weapon will last for sometime at least.

My little girl is always dressed up with woolen dresses, jackets, pajamas, caps, inners, pullovers, and what not to protect her from winters. Today is also the normal winter day, and my kid is adamant to wear her Jeans , standing without her pajamas. So for a change , instead of saying a big flat NO to her, I picked up the jeans and gave it to her. Watching her joy, her enthusiasm to wear it, her efforts to put it on...everything just made me ask a question to myself that why I always have to say NO for even little things which somehow are making her independent in some or other ways. Followed with a guilt of saying NO to her every time, accompanied with her screams, and cries, her Irritation and her tears....such small petty things are not precious than  my kid.
Hoping to say more of yes, along with more of patience and time to my kid is the new approach of myself to the motherhood !!

When a child starts learning to speak his/her first words, its such a joyous moment for parents. My kid, her first word was 'Papa' instead of saying mumma, and for water she use to say  'mum', which at first I thought she is referring to me as when she felt thirsty she use to look at me and say 'mum mum'.This illusion of mine was cleared soon....but the word 'papa' was all time on her lips whenever she saw her father.
And then gradually we made her teach other words, things, but all in hindi, or sometimes in Hinglish...isn't that every household language these days!! Day by Day my kid learned to speak more words, then sentences, but all in hindi, and I was not much bothered by it. And now she is a 3yr old chatter box speaking whole day, reciting everything to me in HINDI & HINGLISH ofcourse, and now I am getting bothered with it. Whenever we meet our age group people, or the younger ones, they interact with her starting with English language, and my kid grabbing some words answers them. She usually do not connect with fluent English conversations , and that's not at all her fault..as we have always taught her in our mother tongue Hindi.
Whenever I find me and my kid in such a situation , it confuses me and makes me question if I am teaching my kid the right thing....After giving a good thought on the hindi versus english I have come to a conclusion that my kid should know her mother tongue well. Its not necessary that each person she will meet or interact with will be knowing english, in that scenario she will need her mother tongue to communicate. Next year she will start her schooling, which will obviously make her fluent in the language, and rest I am with her to teach her,,....only let the right time come.
May be someday she may decide to take literature or decide to be a writer in Hindi language, so wouldn't it be something different :)
So now instead of grilling me and my kid for the foreign language, I have decided to make her progress at its own pace. Only statements are remaining, rest she knows the words, so now not a big deal for me....
Long live our mother tongue !!
With kids around, everyday is an adventure, loaded with lots of fun, worries, lovable moments, sparkling eyes, the cheers, the name callings, and many many more. Totally this phase of childhood is something like racing ahead to finish off first, and here I stand to make most out of it.
In between all these days, there comes some moments when there is some unexpected words, behaviors, tantrums, and worries. The moment I cross through any of them, my mind start racing towards the problem, the distraction for kid at the moment, and finally I go into thinking mode  to work out the ways to tackle these uninvited guests. Every now and then I keep on searching on google, and other parenting websites , just to check if its normal with kids of certain age, or if it is only my kid....thanks to the various reliable online resources which make me feel a little less guilty over such incidents. And then the next step starts with following the advice, the suggestions, scenarios presented , and its a hell lot of task to do it, where I mostly fail to follow and try my own methods to work out the situation. In such matters the guidance of elders, my motherly instincts work very well, not to forget to mention the online advices also works good in some matters..but yeah not always.
All of this has just proved it that raising kids is a task of gradual learning. Every single day I learn along with my kid, learn the lessons of patience, love, fun, smiles, giggles, cartoons( yeah that too), and many many tantrums.
For raising kids, there may be certain set of guidelines, timings for each task, feeding & food guidelines, sleeping patterns, learning instructions and many more. But, I follow none. I let my kid do whatever she wants and at whatever time she likes. There is no restriction for her tv timing, eating, playing, studying, etc etc.....In other words, no rules. She watches TV before going to sleep and I am fine with it, as it takes  just 15 minutes for her to fall asleep as compared to me scolding her and forcibly putting to sleep at certain time which use to take more than 45 minutes. What did I gained from that routine, only cries of my kid, me getting frustated and angry, scolding her till she fall asleep. Due to my scoldings, she didn't even made effort to make me wake-up in night when she couldn't sleep. And that was really draining for me, what I gained..nothing, besides instilled a fear in my kid.How wrong I was....Now when we are free with all the rules thing, she is a happy go child doing her routine at right times by herself, may be the earlier harder version of me have made an impact...whatever.....and now we snuggle together, watch cartoons, eat together, play together, learn together..and all of it without me getting frustrated.
Sometimes its good to break the rules and norms to again become a kid with and enjoy the childhood with them. After all its only one childhood the kids get...whatever we missed doing in our time, its the time to relive with our kids !!
Happy Kid, happy me :)

My kid use to follow her grandfather a lot. She visit park, local market, etc with him. So its kind of real comfort zone between both of them without me worrying to take her to outdoors.
Recently this scenario took place and its left all of us in smiles. Whenever her grandfather purchase stuff from the local area shop, she takes the money from his hand and handover herself to the shop owner. Yesterday it was a Rs 500 currency note in her hand. She observed it and finally indicating the mahatma gandhi image printed on the note, asked her grandfather ' Dadu , ye aap ho ?' {meaning, grandfather is that your picture on the currency note } what could be the answer other than the giggles and laughters.

The aged and bald grandfather really matches with the Mahatma Gandhi picture on the currency ;)

Some of the symptoms which does not let you dare forget that you are a mom:

1. You have high vocal chords now, by every time screaming, or shouting to get the task done with the kid.
2. While asleep, you still hear the kids voice, Hallucinations.
3. Your handbag has been replaced by BABY Bag, always stuffed with diapers, milk bottles, water, napkins, extra pair of kids clothing, Johnson's baby cream, powder, extra pair of bibs, and hand towels, instead of your kajal, mascara, sunscreen, lipstick etc.
4. While on a shopping spree, instead of your stuff, you end up shopping with all kids stuff.
5. Every time you step out, you think of getting home as soon as possible to take care of the kid.
6. While on a dinner date, instead of talking to each other( poor hubby),fully engrossed with kid to make her/him eat or stay calm.
7. On the hotel menu, searching for items kid can eat.
8. End up humming the nursery rhymes instead of your favorite songs.
9. Your phone memory, hard disk and every electronic media storage is full of the photos and videos of the kid.
10. When you cannot find a single pic of yours with hubby dear.
11. The mobile phone is full of rhymes, kids games, and activities apps (thanks to smartphones)
12. The joyous and proud feeling when your kid starts learning new things. You just keeps on flaunting, how he/she has started recognizing objects/body parts/alphabets, speaking first few words, first activity, and many more.
13. The love you feel when the kid hugs you and kisses you.
14. The amazing feeling when you make the kid ready for the school, wondering how your little baby has grownup so soon.
15. When the kid plays with her crayons and the drawing book, the curious you to see what the he/she makes out.
16. Every now and then you keep on sharing on social media the pics of the kids, and of the recent activities the kid has learnt
17. On every trip you end up clicking the kid's expressions and poses more than the trip scenery and views.
18. Every 2 hours, just thinking about what to feed the kid next.
19. The 'Oh my god, have i missed her pee/poo timings' self realizations.
20. Waiting for the kid to sleep, you may finish off some work.
21. You just open the laptop, the kid gets its smell, finally end up with playing the rhymes instead of doing your stuff.

And the list goes on ........ !!

Putting her tiny little feet in my shoes/ foot-wears is her favorite these days. Be it anyone's slippers, she will put her feet and walks cautiously yet successfully. She knows how to correctly position the slippers, and without making mistake wears them like a pro :)
But as soon as her slippers and shoes are asked to wear, there comes a big drama. Guess all kids are the same. Seeing her sometimes make me remember my childhood activities.
